Anyone who uses an outback bowl where Zook was coaching the Gators as the measuring stick is playing with a few cards short of a full deck. In that game Zook single handedly lost it. Going for 2 and missing in the first half. Then down 8 (not 7 thanks to the aforementioned botch) and driving on Michigan he has a true freshman throwing the ball to his (previously) heisman candidate QB. Ball intercepted, game over.

And OSU fan. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. Sounds like excuses. Win the game next time then you can talk about how great your conference is.

Now this is my first post here and let it be known I'm an OSU Alumni who was in Glendale (great atmosphere, I would have enjoyed my team coming to play but thats another story). Now, I will agree there are more quality teams in the SEC, but its a very slim edge. In any year, LSU, UF, Tenn, Georgia, Ark, or Aub can all be very good, but you can say the same about OSU, UM, Wisc., Penn State, Iowa. Just as much as people say UM would lose 2 games in the SEC, I don't see any SEC teams having a cake walk if they have to visit Wisc., Penn State, and OSU and play UM at home. Let it be known I think these are by far the two strongest conferences, oh and by the way an interesting fact I think keeps getting left out of a lot of convos. UM beat ND by the same amount LSU did. UM beat ND at ND while LSU did it pretty much at home. Just a little more food for thought

The bowl matchups between Big 10 and SEC teams in the last 5-10 years have been almost even with mostly close and competitive games.

But the point is not that the top 4 or 5 of each league are even its the next 4 or 5 where the big separation occurs.

Despite the fact that I'm a huge Michigan, I've always respected, even liked, Florida football. However, since the winning the NC last year, some of their fans act as if U-F is Gods gift to college football.

Hey, I think we mostly agree, Herringbone. Like I said, I don't make excuses for those two SEC teams. They let the conference down. We're pissed. We're a dysfunctional little family down here in the south... those losers are bowl game mulligans at best and at worst... well, we'll keep that to ourself. They're ugly little brothers, but they're OUR little brothers. I'm sure you can understand.
