UFGatorDMD: forgive me for diverting the conversation, but I have a dental question for you. I'm just looking for a little advice.

About four years ago I had a root canal in an upper right molar. About a month after the procedure my gum swelled up around the tooth and was very tender. I went back to the dentist for work on a different tooth and she gave me penicillin, which made the infection go away.

Since then this "infection" flares up every 4-6 months or so for a few weeks.

Before Christmas, it suddenly flared up and was much worse than before. My jaw was starting to ache and the area of pain grew to encompass most of my upper jaw/cheek area. It was pretty painful.

I had an old stockpile of penicillin so I started taking it, about 500mg every 6 hrs for about 5 days. There was very little difference for the first 2 days until finally the pain began to subside and the swelling dropped again.

I've been off the penicillin for about 4 days and the swelling hasn't really recurred. The gum above the tooth is still a little bit tender, but for the most part, the pain is gone.

The tooth itself does not hurt (probably because it was root canal'd) but the gum above it is the repetitive trouble area.

Any ideas?

For some reason, as bad as I think the Vols are, i think Wisconsin is worse. They were even horrible against Washington State. Wisc is overrated...UT may be soft, but they'll still win. The big 10 as a whole was horrible this year, and that will show in the bowl games against the SEC.

In large part, I'm in agreement with you here, KG.

Bowls are unique situations. It really seems that most teams tend to revert to character when they play in the postseason. Somehow, the "softness" you speak of really comes out in full force when the Vols take the field in a bowl game.

I also agree that Wisconsin has the edge over Tennessee -- largely due to coaching and discipline. Bielema had his team ready for Arkansas last year and I expect he'll be ready again for the Vols.

Like you, I'll be pulling for all of our SEC brothers but I am not expecting the Vols to pull this one out.

The rest of your predictions look pretty good to me.
