Marko,

I hope you meant the BCS bowl for the 2009 season and not the 09 BCS Championship game (which of course would be for the 2008 season).

Oh yeah the SEC is overhyped. Take a look at the best (by far) program in the Big 10 getting dismantled again by the best team in the SEC. Sure, there may be a different SEC team at the top every year, it's a tough competitive conference. The Big 10 on the other hand has a handful of top teams and the one team that has stood out above all others is once again getting smacked around as an SEC biaatch.

I hope Michigan does make it to the BCSCG someday. And I hope there is an SEC team there to show them what big time football is really like.

You're losing 80% of your offense. It will take a lot more than a true freshman QB to lead you to the BCS Championship Game.

I will say that UF would have fared much worse than UM did if Tebow would have missed multiple games.

Yes, they did get hurt on the very first snap against App. State(which i think can beat 50% of the college teams in D1). Henne hurt his shoulder on the first play and it went downhill from there with arrington missing one game, Hart down with 4 1/2 games, Kraus and Matthews. Regardless of our injuries, we lost 4 games which DIGUST me. Our defense was the 2nd worst i have seen this year, with Florida's being worse. This was a terrible year for the wolverines and when we get Pryor, we'll see Florida in 09 for the BCS title.

Who cares if Michigan is 5-1 in bowls this decade against the SEC? Again, when you only make the Capital One and Outback Bowl, you are either playing the 3rd or 4th best SEC team.

All you morons keep telling us how much better Michigan is than Florida, yet we both finished 9-4. Not a good season for us down here. Maybe for you guys it is great.

And enough with telling us about all our excuses while you complain about being injured all but one snap. What happened anyway? did your team all get injured on the first play from scrimmage this year?

Injuries are part of the game. Just like fumbles, turnovers, and losing to division 1-AA schools.....well, that is part of the game for some of us at least.

We gave you your congratulations for winning your bowl game. But don't try to parlay that into some great achievement. Hell, Les Miles didn't even want to coach you guys and he's an alumnus. He would rather stay down in the steamy Bayou and play several meaningful games each year than to head north and play 1 big game each year. Maybe if you had better rivals you wouldn't have to dwell on bowl games so much.

Florida lost to defenses in the SEC which i think are not good at all. All your overhyped SEC bs is getting kind of sickening. God did not create the SEC unlike some of you Gator fans seem to believe. The Florida Gator fans that think they are an "elite" program got a dose of reality from the winningest program in college football...

Michigan is still Michigan.

Michigan Vs. Florida - UM is undefeated

Jim, the schools have played two games. Ooooooooh . . . what a display of dominance. I can see why you have SOOOOO much smack to talk.

On the other hand Michigan is 0-2 versus Arizona and 0-4 versus Washington State. I guess those programs are FAR superior to the Big Blue right? I mean that's what defines a better programs right? A couple games. I'm sure you have a bumper sticker on your car that says something like "UM - Arizona and Washington State's Bitches since 1869"

So get over yourself with your impressive two game history of dominance. Geez, Appy State should probably put up a statue because the are undefeated versus Michigan. Sheesh!!!

I don't get your point. Michigan was a better team this year. Those teams were close enough that it shouldn't be surprising if either team won the game. Michigan was not as bad as they looked when racked with offensive injuries. That was proven. But what is it you Wolverine fans want to say? Next year Florida comes into the season loaded with prep All Americans at just about every position. We will still be young but, compared to this year, a much more veteran team. We don't look at Michigan or Notre Dame in the kind of awe and deference that you must expect.

Look, I'm not here to bash Michigan. My parents are Michigan alum, much of my family is from the state of Michigan. I grew up rooting for the Maise and Blue (obviously I went to college at UF) but I'm not going to blow smoke up your arse. I've been to to Ann Arbor to experience the "quietest hundred grand in the land" and I've seen what Carr did in his last 5-7 years. He'd hung on to long and now you guys have to deal with the consequences (rebuilding). I think Rodriguez was a great hire and will turn that conference around. Good luck but this is a UF site and in Florida the Gators are king. That's just how it is.

Marko,

Why would Gator fans need to be humble? Michigan won the Capital One Bowl, they proved they have better defensive talent and as much offensive skill as any team Florida played. But we just came off of a National Championship and next year will be a top 5 team looking for another National Championship. Michigan will be a young team with a new coach, installing a new system and trying to make a bowl game. You had a senior laden team. Florida fans are optimistic about the future of both the football and basketball programs. Both are young and both will take (and have taken) their lumps in 2007. But this is a reloading process and the future is bright.

What do you want us to say? How great the Big 10 is? Do you want us to say we think the Michigan will suddenly be relevant again in the BCS Championship in the next couple years? Because . . . I don't think anyone here really believes that it will take Rich less than the next two years to reshape the program and start competing for Championships.

By the way, I hope every team in the country can take Georgia's and Michigan's blueprint and hold the Gators to 30 and 35 points respectively. We know the defense will get better as it gets older, the 2006 defense was abused when they were freshmen too and turned into a DOMINANT squad that led the team to a National Championship.

The best two defenses Florida played last year were not UGA and Mich. LOL NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! They were Auburn and LSU by far. Those teams both had the kind of fast, athletic defensive players that Michigan hasn't had since . . . hell I don't think the Wolverines have ever had a defense of that caliber in my recollection.

I can't imagine that Wolverine fans would come to a Gator board and expect us to drool in our constant admiration of your accomplishments. You were the better team in the bowl, no question. But now you lose your all star RB, QB, OT and probably 1 or 2 of your WRs to the NFL. You guys will almost be starting from scratch. It's going to get worse before it gets better. The past two years were Michigans best teams in a decade and the net result was a record of 20-6 and NO CHAMPIONSHIPS. What do you guys have to brag about?

By the way, a top program would have fired Lloyd Carr long ago. Michigan gave him the deference that Penn State gives Paterno or FSU gives Bowden yet Carr did NOTHING to rate that kind of leniency. He took a top tier program and won one outright and one shared Big 10 title in the past 7 years. In contrast Ohio State has one 4. In comparison, Carr has won as many Big 10 titles since Tressel went to Columbus as IOWA has.

Michigan 9-4 = celebration.
UF 9-4 = mourning.

Hardly. Who said anything about celebrating a 9-4 record? 9-4 is not acceptable. I believe the U-M fans are celebrating the victory over Florida and the Gators are mourning their loss... of any dignity they have left after talking so much trash and assuming they would trounce Michigan.

Talk about a short memory... here's a few reminders for you. All of these are headlines from your own posts on your blog:

Score prediction: Florida 42 - Michigan 20

Oh, Hell Yes: Gators Draw Michigan in Capital One Bowl (what, you were excited about losing?)

Michigan a Top 5 Team? Will The Voters Ever Learn? (apparently the voters haven't learned, Florida was ranked 11th, Michigan unranked in this game)

You seem to have this fascination and/or inferiority complex with Michigan, hell you posted about them this summer.

Is it just the atheletics or is the root of your insecurity the far superior academic program that Michigan offers?

I'm not puffing my chest out. I don't need to. Michigan won, Florida lost. The score wasn't even reflection of the game... Michigan outgained Florida by 150 yards and was -4 in turnovers and STILL WON. That alone shows how bad Florida was beaten.

Please keep talking about App State, do you really need to deflect from Florida's loss that badly? Don't you realize that App State defeated the very same team that handed Florida a bowl loss? Since Florida is 'only' the 3rd best SEC team and Michigan beat them, that must make App State the equivalent of #1 in the SEC. Sure, whatever. Stop making stupid comparisons and focus and THIS game.

If game's were won and lost on Gator fans hot air, Florida would be undefeated. Good thing they actually play the game on the field, not on the internet.

Let's look at Michigan's recent record versus SEC opponents:
Michigan Vs. the SEC (since 2000) - 5 - 1

Michigan Vs. Florida - UM is undefeated

Oh, now I understand your complex with Michigan.
