Summer Doldrums Fun: Apple iPhone Florida Gators Theme
So… I bought an Apple iPhone. It’s the first product made by Apple I’ve ever purchased and I’m favorably impressed. In fact, I’d be willing to say it’s the coolest piece of pint-sized technology I’ve owned. There’s something just slightly mindboggling about SCPing into your phone as root and messing with the directory structure, to say nothing of surfing the web at broadband speeds and enjoying an amazingly slick touchscreen interface.
Anyway, after jailbreaking the phone and installing Summerboard I couldn’t find a Florida Gators theme, so I made my own. Perhaps an O&B Hue theme is next? Gator fans with iPhones, enjoy.

Any chance you can make us a Buckeye theme?
Oh, and check out our site in your iPhone. There’s a free WP plugin that sniffs the user agent and reskins appropriately.

I bought mine last week and jailbroke it immediately. Once you jailbreak, you’ll never go back. It’s well, well worth it. It opens up a huge world beyond the stock iPhone. Your gizmo does tons of stuff you probably haven’t even imagined yet.
If something goes wrong (unlikely unless you start going really nutty, moving applications between partitions and messing with the directory structure via SSH or SCP) you can always just hit the “restore” button in iTunes to get back to where you started. If you use Outlook or something similar to manage your contacts, those will be restored in the process of syncing and you won’t even lose on-board photos. Do it!
Re: Buckeyes theme… I can’t imagine all that garish scarlet and grey on my monitor, but… maybe I’ll crank one out for you. These are fun to make. :)

Sweet theme, man. But I hope you’re not kicking yourself in June when they release the 3G iPhone. You may be able to get a free upgrade if it’s released within 30 days of your purchase, but they’re looking at a late June announcement, so it’ll be past 30 days for you.

I live in a house divided. My wife is a huge gator fan and recently downloaded the gator theme on her iPhone. I on the other hand have been a Seminole fan since birth. Will you be creating a theme for the Seminoles? The layout for the Gators great. Please advise.
