The truth is, this off field trouble has been a problem since the Zooker rhode into Gainsville with Meyers National Championship talent. He never had control, and it's clear that Meyer doesn't either...but, at least, Meyer won us a title (thanks Urban!).

Truth is, Miami's "Thug U" torch has been passed. Sebastian handed it off to Ronnie Zook, who left it in his old office for Urban...and it's been a problem ever since.

I've seen mentions of this an a surprisingly few CFB blogs...

EDBS for the Fulmer Cup and the requatory post from anti-UF LWS but other than that very few mentions indeed...

I'd like to say thanks to those that didn't "run with the story" simply to get hits at the expense of further sensationalizing this story and assuredly the Slonina family appreciates their discretion as well...

If it's true that has to be one of the most horrible things I've heard of a kid doing. The full football ride comes with food, house, tuition, books, and plenty of gator clothes....everything else is greed. Unbelievable.

Hey, he's been kicked off the team. We get a scholly for next year, so some other guy that will be important to us comes in. No worries.

I am somewhat inclined to agree. We have given some of these guys too many chances.

Sooner or later Urban will learn that the "one strike and you're out" rule works best. How many times do we have to be embarassed by a player doing something bad enough to finally be kicked off the team - only to learn that he had been in trouble countless other times, yet Meyer chose to take the Bowden approach and either suspend him for one of the earlier meaningless games, or simply do nothing (Joiner).

Coach likes to talk a big game when he visits all the alumni telling us that he holds his players to high standards - that it is an honor and priviledge to play for the Gators - yet when push comes to shove - I am afraid he is no different than any of the other coaches.
