It might seem trivial, but when you play for a team with 26 world championships, you are judged by your hardware. Not only has A-Rod not won the Yanks a ring, but he has also done so in humiliating fashion. Jeter has four rings and a World Series MVP. Guess who the Bomber faithful love more? Interestingly enough, the same sort of thing happened in 1961 with Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle. Maris got the record, but Mantle was the fan favorite. Not one, not two, not three, not even Jeter's four, but seven rings in his career. New York will miss the playoffs because they've drafted poorly, signed zero free agents in the offseason, and haven't completed a trade before the All-Star break. All in spite of their payroll. Prenups, in almost every instance are used by people with money. Therefore, it's not like the couple was broke and now they are rich. As a matter of fact, I also have a problem with her filing for divorce so soon after A-Rod signed this new contract. Personally, if I were a judge, I would make her stick to the prenup.
