Us and Them Per Maurkice

Tired of hearing about Jawja’s endzone celebration? Me too… but this is somewhat interesting, and very much on point.

… not everybody was completely diplomatic about the Bulldogs’ celebration in the end zone last season after scoring their first touchdown.

“I know our program would never do anything like [that],” sophomore center Maurkice Pouncey said. “But that’s the difference between us and them. If that’s what their program is based on, doing stuff like that, that’s their deal. I know our program would never do anything like that, especially with Coach Meyer here.”

I think it’s safe to say we’ve got some seething Gators very much looking forward to November 1st.

I just read a post on Get the Picture with the Maurkice quote earlier today. Seems like the rivalry is heated up . . . at least for this year.

They’ll start bitching about the game being in Jacksonville again after they lose this year. :)

But the last time both schools did a home-and-home, the OBC went on to score 50 between the hedges.

You know, I get a bad feeling that Coach Meyer might try something funny when the game comes up. The rivalry is one giant tinderbox.

Why can’t we feel this way about FSU anymore? Has it all come to this, looking forward to UGA?

FSU has the power to make it a relevant rivalry again real quick-like this year. We’d better not overlook them. Our ‘06 championship team eeked by them, only a single TD separating victor and loser, at Ron Zook Field. I am nervous about the massive confidence regarding the FSU and Miami games. Both teams have plenty of talent. All this talk of Georgia… it makes me uncomfortable, to be honest.

Thank God Tebow dont play. He’ll have them going for everyone of them this year. Especially without CI. I have a feeling this Gator team is going to have one big beating heart by the run to Atlanta.

To be honest, i’m more worried about FSU and Tennessee than Georgia.

I don’t think the game will even be close. Georgia started getting hyped up big time at season’s end. They only stumbled over an injured and inexperienced Gator team last year (and needed the rushing performance of the year from Moreno to do it).

I’ll go ahead and say it and not worry about any jinx whatsoever:

Gators 42-17

Can we just focus on Hawaii, please…

Hawaii is hard to focus on. I see no harm in looking down the road until the week of the Hawaii game.

UGA lost its left tackle to an ACL tear. The Dawgs are howling up here in the ATL. The ever optomistic UGA fans are recovering though - saying that “it’s a big loss, but we can overcome it!”

Also, UGA’s top recruit, WR AJ Green has a nagging hip injury and is unable to practice. That is devastating for a freshman receiver to miss this time.

Please stay away from G’ville Mr. Injury Bug.

Umm, if memory serves me right, Mr. Tebow was doing the swamp chomp right in the face of the LSU fan section after scoring a td in last year’s game. They were even saying on the broadcast it was pretty classless.

Yeah, but didn’t LSU fans give Tebow harrassing phone calls? Knowing LSU fans, he probably heard someone cursing him in the stands.

I can’t stand him for what he did to my team last year, but it’s hard to argue that Tebow isn’t one of the classiest, most respectable players in CFB.

Don’t worry, Daniel, I’m sure it could have been worse.

Tebow could have stomped on somebody.

Yeah, Or even worse…tasered by the police!
Funny sign I saw:
Congratulation GHayes, Tampa Bay Buc….
at a CHURCH!
