July 04th, 2009 FLORIDA FOOTBALL: FOOD FOR A MAN'S SOUL SEND US AN EMAIL

Here I go again

Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald who seems to have taken shots at Torrey Davis, Ronnie Wilson, Maurkice Pouncey, and Ahmad Black (among others) is once again in the spotlight with his ill-conceived diatribe regarding Percy Harvin being a cancer on the Gators.  By taking comments from several sources, including Tim Tebow (who he once had a post asking if Timmy should be allowed to go out drinking to celebrate his birthday despite it being two-a-days . . . wtf???), he’s put together a high school caliber podcast to make his accusations.

Podcast and Post

Personally, I think this kind of tabloid journalism is becoming par for the course for Mr. Goodman.  This smacks of another story manufactured to put his name in the limelight a la the Maukice Pouncy and Ronnie Willson posts of previous weeks.  My guess is that Mr. Goodman will start to get the attention of some people . . . most notable the University Athletic Administration.  It’s one thing to try and find stories on a team you are covering, it’s another to try and make a name for yourself in doing negative journalism against a bunch of college athletes.  I expect Mr. Goodman will soon be reaping what he sows.  Be careful what you wish for Joseph, for you might just get it!!!

That podcast was trash. He is a complete moron!

Since when does Tim drink?

Agent Provocateur!!!

Frankly, I think we’ve met a Jerry Tipton.

Can I get an amen, UK fans?

You can book it right now: he’s throwing sucker punches at the Florida program so the UAA get angry and either bans him from talking to players and coaches or blocks his access to other media-related things. Then, he can scream bloody murder while attempting to make the UAA look like jerks and receive even MORE press…

Hey, ut worked for Mike Freeman.

It appears that he is Rush Limbaugh and we Gators are his left-wing.
