Speaking of Greise, he was an awful commentator for this game. Constantly was stumbling over his words and never had anything insightful to say at all. It would have been better if he simply wasn't on the crew at all.

He kicks it along the sidelines because Meyer wants him to kick it there, and has said so in the past. Why exactly that is I really can't say.

I didn't really have any issues with the fans this game. We parked and tailgated down from the stadium in the parking lot of the civic center where the number of Florida fans easily out numbered the FSU fans, and the only incident I had was with a drunk student going to the game that wanted to pick a fight with a friend of mine.

Overall I thought UF played a well rounded game minus the start at the 40 every time. My biggest qualm was on some calls. The main one being the Tebow dive for the first down near the goal line and the ball being marked back at the line of scrimmage despite all the commentators saying he had the first. If not getting the ball marked near the first wasn’t bad enough why Urban called a timeout but didn’t ask for a review is beyond me. Makes me think he pulled a McNabb and forgot the rules as this inevitably led to him trying to sneak Tebow on 4th and 1 despite having it on 3rd down and not reviewing it.

The Gators really need to get beyond the Tebow sneak on 4th and 1.5 EVERYTIME because it's clearly not working and getting stuffed time and time again. Despite UF penalties being called (without ONE replay, thanks ABC) and that bad call at the goal line call could have been made up by the head ref Ron Cherry calling a "Giving him the business call" that he has been known to do but alas...no luck.

FSU booing doesn't surprise me as these fans put the ass in class. Watching the game on ABC was becoming very difficult with the complete lack of replays along with the never-ending, "Ohhh Percy is injured, an injury like that you'll be lucky if he walks again" diagnoses. Thank your DR. ABC and your accredited ability to practice medicine. I didn't catch as much Tebow and UF praise as you had mentioned as all I heard were pro-FSU commentary and ACC commentary the entire time.

Booing an injured player is completely unacceptable. Come on people, we all learn that at a young age when you play youth sports. A kid gets hurt, you take a knee. The same applies later in life. A player gets hurt, you clap when he leaves the field. This is especially disappointing because in 2006 in a "when pigs fly" act of compassion, the FSU fans chanted "PERCY HARVIN" and clapped when he was taken off the field. Maybe their feelings change depending on the relative closeness of the game.

OK, I just got back from the game and I felt the need to write about my displeasures. This was my first time watching the Gators in Tallahasee. As an objective fan my first impressions of the experience were very good despite being called a "florida fag" by drunken students while walking through student housing. For the most part FSU fans had their heads hung low and humble, as their present football situation should justify. I was surprised at how many parking spots were open so close to the stadium, I guess those Big Chiefs just aren't showing up. Once inside I was impressed by thier massive HD screens, 100 ft on the north endzone with ribbon screens throughout the stadium, and a 45 footer on the south endzone. This initial admiration quickly turned to dismay when I realized what the forces of evil were using it for. During many Florida offensive plays this massive siezure indusing machine would flash "Make Some Noise" in a mind numbingly quick black and white display that made me think lightning was striking the stadium. My mother-in-law(a confessed FSU fan) said you could see it during night games on television. I do not know what the NCAA rules are on visual displays but I couldn't focus on the play without covering the jumbotron with my hand. I can't imagine what the players on the field were going through but this has to have a negative effect on the play of the visiting team. This display would last the duration of the Florida play, not stopping before the play like the music is supposed to. If there are rules governing music, these visual displays shoud be included. If we hadn't handed them thier own colons I'd be much more pissed about this, if you were at the Doke and had these same observations please let me know.
The next thing that really chapped my dick was FSU fans booing an injured Percy Harvin as he left the field. I've been to many collegiate and professional sporting events and never have I witnessed such a classless display. In defense of some of the more mature and perhaps dignified fans of FSU I did see some them clapping Percy off the field.
Other than the "F#C* Tim Tebow" that was so elligently spray painted in thier own tunnel I can't think of a thing that gave me a negative connotation of visiting the Doak, besides the guy trying to run me off the road in his chevy astro van while I was walking back through the student section. Scoreboard!... A$$hole

#1: I'm not surprised by the FSU fans' reaction to Harvin. From Darnell Dockett to today, this is a fanbase that thrives on conniving. It's a culture of rooting for injury (even if it means throwing a chair in a campus brawl). Memo to the opponents of UF: don't give them any reason to circle the date of next year's game with you (see: UF 49 UGA 10, November 1, 2008).
#2: I'm not fooled by Bobby Bowden, under whose wide-eyed lack of oversight this ridiculous culture flourishes. I don't buy for one second any class attributed to him. Nothing changes in Tally until he's gone.
#3: Deal with it FSU: you're not an elite team. You're not as close as you think you are to BEING an elite team. You are an entire recruiting class away from contending against the Gators, and that recruiting class better be darn good.
These two teams are going in opposite directions.
As a Gator fan, I don't mind throttling FSU. I just wish they'd field a respectable team so this could be interesting again.
Well, on to the ATL... GO GATORS! Roll the Tide silly!

I absolutely hate having our Gators go into Doak Campbell/Bobby Bowden Field/Ron Zook Field. It always seems like half our team goes down to injuries. Harvin is once again the worse from having played on the flooded sod field.

Go Gators! Let's take two more!!

Mentally, our 6th year seniors are also undefeated vs. FSU.

This is by far my favorite team since 01. I hope they can win the next 2 games. Think it'll be a while before we will find the special offensive playmakers of Tebow/Harvin for quite a while.
