We can finally stop writing and hearing about this.

Meyer turned back to the golfers and said, “I’m not going to Notre Dame. Ever. I’m going to be the coach at Florida for a long time, as long as they want me.”

Wow. That might be the best Gator news I’ve heard this whole off-season …

This is great news. I’ve never quite understood (yes, I get the “dream job” thing and all his ties to them and such) why he’d give up what he has in Gainesville for all the troubles that come in South Bend. I couldn’t be happier.

Thanks for the article GP but didn’t we already know this? Who in their right mind would leave UF?? Better info would have been how Urban shot that day. j/k Can’t wait for the season to start!!

I wish I was a fly on Finebaum’s office wall when he saw that quote. He and all the other Bama bigots are realizing their worst nightmare. The beatdown goes on and on and on…………..

I hope it’s that simple, but a part of me says the more denials it gets the closer it is to true.

…maybe the door is closed on Notre Dame, but I still worry about the NFL whenever the timing is such that there is a head coaching job available.

And BTW, if/when he goes I hope it’s before the rest of our team gets arrested, or ends up in jail. I think Dustin Doe makes like 26 players arrested under coach Meyer? That is one statistic that just plain sucks.

After living in Gainesville for a few years, I can say with absolute confidence that the arrest record is 100% the Gainesville Police Dept. I watched them get much more aggressive each year for the last four years. My UF orientation involved Kameg giving a speech about all the different things they will arrest you for (outdoor urination, minor in possession of alcohol, and other things most places only give you talking to, a ticket, or at worst a day in court). Bored overfunded police department. Anyone close to the program knows how great Meyer is for those kids. So haters can stfu, jealousy brings out the worst in people, I swear.
