…as I previously stated, I do not believe Brandon Spikes is inherently mean-spirited.

I’m sorry if anything I said painted him as such. I’ve since taken off the post, and want to move on.

I’m happy that nobody was hurt in the game.

I am a Georgia grad, recieveing my pharmacy degree in the ’60’s. I was in Jacksonville in 1965 when The Heisman winner, Steve Spurrier beat the Dawgs in a last minute TD, and thus the hate begins. The Rivalry is great, perhaps the best anywhere.
Now, the current incident with Brandon Spikes is tantamount to criminal assault and should be treated as such. He is NOT a college athlete playing on a great football team. He is a criminal thug and should be treated as such. The concept of gouging out someone’s eyes cannot be viewed in any other vein. If
Urban Meyer does not remove him from the team (and subsequent dismissal from UF) your program stands for nothing.
Imagine some street hoodlum accosting YOU on the street and doing the same thing. NO DIFFERENCE, and the same punishment should be given to Mr. Spikes.
