SEC PowerPoll Week 13

Although I am a little late in posting I did get my votes in on time, so that’s what counts!  This weeks ballot for the SEC Power Poll.

Florida - With a blowout of FSU, Florida appears to be peaking while Bama struggled with rival Auburn.  Unable to bear the thought of an uneven SECCG, Carlos DUMB-lap has decided to recuse himself from the contest.
Alabama - Finally a good game throwing the ball . . . against the worst defense in the SEC and 73rd ranked defense nationally.  And excuse me, 73 yards rushing agains the 10 best rushing defense in the SEC?  WTH?
LSU - There are the best teams, the worst teams and the middle of the pack. Congrats Tigers, you’re one of the best . . . of the middle of the pack.
Ole Miss -  Did the rebels get fired up at halftime or did they “fire up” instead?  Outscored 17-0 in the 3rd quarter.  “Oh hey guys, I think we were supposed to go back on the field!”
Arkansas - Hey Bobby, wanna win some more games?  I can’t believe you lose so many close games despite having the worst special teams in the league.  Do you think that’s a coincidence?
Tennessee - No way Fulmer delivers those big late season overtime wins over the Wildcats like the Kiffin crew can.  No way, no how!
Kentucky - Rich “Freakin” Brooks.  Does anyone do more with less year after year than this guy?  UK probably contends for titles in the ACC or Big 12.
Auburn - Auburn fans must be thrilled at that effort.  Nothing like never trailing in a game until the end to bring out the best in the Tiger faithful.
South Carolina - The Gamecocks can’t score more than 16 points in 5 straight SEC games before getting to play the ACC Atlantic Division Champs.  What a joke that conference is.
Georgia - I’m sorry but the best rushing team in the ACC, Coastal Champs Georgia Tech, barely break 200 yards agains the Dawgs.  Most teams get that by halftime on a Willie Martinez defense.
Mississippi State - Mississippi State went off on Ole Miss like Elin Woods on Tiger’s Escalade.  And like that situation it was either a heroic act or incredibly disturbing depending on your point of view.
Vanderbilt - Well what kind of record do you expect when the best athletes on campus play for the Debate Team???

One game left up, the SEC Championship Game for the SEC Crown and a chance to play for all the Marbles.  What more could you want?

As always you can find the complete power poll at TeamSpeedKills HERE.

Is this all of the coverage from this site for the week? I have to say for such a big game I’m surprised?!? Used to come here a lot for more in-depth analysis but lately it seems there hasn’t been as much coverage lately. Hope all is well with you guys.

hmm…the 73rd nationally ranked defense held us to just 73 yards rushing…and the number one defense in the nation…got blowed the fuck out by one man……..wth???……so much for your stats huh?…see in pasadena…….oh wait you weren,t invited……

What’s the deal here? You can change the headline once a day but no reports? BTW, the gators much touted best team ever failed to beat Alabama. Some sources say it was somewhat of a big game. I don’t know, that’s what I was told.

Can someone please advise if this web-site is still a viable entity, as no one has posted anything for quite a while.

I’m truly sorry to see that as I don’t particularly care for most of the others, as they are polluted with bandwagon fans, haters, and uneducated trolls, who couldn’t find their asses in a dark closet with both hands.

Hello–I read this blog at least once a week but haven’t posted until now. I was born and raised in Gville, attended UF and am a lifelong Gator fan. I am still in shock about how the Gators played last week and get a little sad every time I hear something about the BCS. I know I should be happy we are in a great bowl game against an undefeated team and the SEC is being represented in the BCS (again). But I wasn’t prepared for last week’s game and still can’t believe the outcome. I wonder if other fans are as down as I am and are just too depressed to blog or post. I went back to visit family for the game and the whole town of Gville seemed shocked afterwards too. At least I was in a town where everyone understood why we were all bummed out.

I suppose we are in mourning. It did suck to watch my beloved team take a royal a** whipping by the Tide.

We still have Tebow and the Senior’s final BCS game to look forward to and see how we play against the Bearcats.

Ready for the coverage by the best Gator site…

hey guys what is going on with this site?

Still nothing? I agree with Bull Gator’s later comments.

I really miss being able to come here and read the insightful, often humorous view presented here. I’m not a fan of blogs usually, and my husband is into Gator Country, which is just too much for me. This site has always given me just the kind of info I need in a venue that feels safer than the hate fests that go on elsewhere.

C’mon guys, I know you’re hurting, but so are we and we need you. There are some unpleasant news snippets coming out about the activity behind the scenes of the game and its week long preparation. I don’t want to have to go to GC to read it on my husbands account - I trust y’all to be much more evenhanded and unwilling to beat up on people who are surely suffering. It’s a free-for-all over there, once they smell blood.

We need to know if the team is going to get through this, and if they are going to find some sort of motivation to aquit themselves well in their final bowl game. You know the Gator Haters out there are having a field day with this, but I refuse to turn my back on my team regardless of what’s gone on. The boys have one more game to go out as winners, and to be a real team. Isnt there some way we can find to show them that we care?

A hurting gator in Gville

Even if I criticized Spikes?

By the way, I got something up.
